Winner of the 1996 Tony Award for Best Play, this production dramatizes the great opera diva, Maria Callas, conducting a master class as she coaxes, prods, and inspires students – “victims” as she calls them – into giving the performance of their lives. Inspired by a series of master classes the great diva taught at Julliard toward the end of her career.
