Why should we see The Robber Bridegroom? This is truly an ensemble piece that connects deeply and uniquely to our Southern American culture. This novella of Eudora Welty’s comes to new life with tall tale exuberance, grim storytelling, slapstick hilarity, music that’s fun, invigorating and downright entertaining. Simply, it’s a damn good time. Also, the musical was written at the end of the Vietnam War. Which character do you think represents America in the involvement of the war?
