From the outrageous mind of Christopher Durang, comes this modern-day farcical take inspired by the works of Anton Chekhov. In Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Vanya and his adopted sister Sonia live a simple life at their childhood home, where they spend their time reminiscing about days gone by and wondering… “What if.” When their moviestar sister, Masha, arrives unannounced and with plans to attend a very elite costume party with her dimwitted young buck of boy-toy, Spike, Vanya and Sonia’s peace is challenged in hilarious ways. Throw in a fortune telling cleaning woman, an aspiring young actress and farmhouse full of secrets, sibling rivalries, resentments, and trysts and you have a smart, raucous comedy that only Christopher Durang could conjure!
