HAIRSPRAY is set in 1962 Baltimore Maryland, what can this story teach us today? Even though this show takes place in the 60s, there’s an important message of unity and acceptance that a lot of people need to witness today. We’re currently living in a very divided America saturated with violence and discrimination. This show sprinkles hope that change can and will happen.
