When life hands you lemons? Know that the first few bites will be sour, but it will get better.
You’re stranded on a deserted island… What two items do you bring? Suntan Lotion and a big book to keep me occupied
How long have you been performing? Started in Kindergarten (my parents thought I was too shy as a kid so they put me in theater and Karate).
What’s your favorite role that you’ve played? Molina in “Kiss of the Spiderwoman”
What’s your dream role to be cast? Angel in RENT
Who is your hero? Biggest inspiration? My parents. They have thought us the value of hard work.
Where are you in 10 years? Hopefully doing theater back in California
Why see West Side Story? How is the story relevant today? It’s definitely a cautionary tale of what happens when people are ignorant and/or scared of what is “different” and give in to their impulses to fight against it all. It’s scary to see how relevant this piece still is today. We’ve made huge advances on some things (Medicine, Technology) yet we are still unable to do something as simple as to see past a person’s skin color.
